Our innovative medical practice isn’t just for individuals. Lake Travis Integrative Medicine offers several options in group wellness sessions and community-based healthy lifestyle activities built around Dr. Julie’s LIVE IT philosophy and the 5 Layers of Health.
Community is a crucial part of our healing philosophy at Lake Travis Integrative Medicine. We now offer support groups for our patients on general topics of wellness, as well as periodically for specific conditions such as fasting, chronic pain, and anxiety. Patients meet with a staff member to share stories and support for each other, build camaraderie, and do other group activities such as guided meditations or creative projects to support the healing process and healthy lifestyles.
If you’re interested in joining a Support Group, please email Allison.
Our Group Visits are a cost effective and fun way to get information and learn with others in similar situations. Patient education and inspiration is an important part of our practice. Our physician-designed Group Visits enable patients a chance to have personal questions answered on a range of topics while learning in a small group. The chemistry of the groups often lends itself to synergy not found in individual appointments.
Ideally, classes consist of 5-10 participants. Handouts are provided. Following a 30-60 minute lecture, there is 30 minutes of discussion time. Examples of topics we explore are: Food as Medicine, Holistic Management of Diabetes, Managing Stress, Body + Mind + Spirit Fasting, and more.
To ensure you hear about our Group Visits, or if you would like to arrange Group Visits for your employees or social group, please email Allison.
The LIVE IT HEALTH Meetup Group
Using the popular Meetup platform, the LIVE IT HEALTH Meetup is a community based forum for education and recreation with healthy lifestyle as the focus. Dr. Reardon and other practitioners that she trusts present information on various topics.
One of the hallmarks of this group, Walk with a Doc is a popular event in which Dr. Reardon gets out of the office and walks our Lakeway neighborhood with patients, neighbors, and friends.
All LIVE IT HEALTH Meetup activities are open to the public. Many are offered free of charge.
Educational Events & More
Lake Travis Integrative Medicine’s new office in Lakeway features a room designed for small, intimate group events and various community wellness activities.
Affectionately known as The Namaste Room, the space is named for the namaste poem stenciled around the perimeter of the room.
Wellness luncheons, support group meetings, and other events for Lake Travis Integrative Medicine patients and prospective patients are frequently held here.
