Drug Free Relief with Alpha-Stim

One of the hallmarks of the integrative medicine philosophy is applying complimentary and holistic approaches to illness. Many of our patients come to us looking for alternatives to powerful mind-altering pharmaceuticals. Lake Travis Integrative Medicine is on the forefront of regularly exploring and implementing new approaches. One of our biggest successes is our Alpha-Stim program.

Neuromodulation/Electrotherapy

Alpha-Stim is an easy to use, at-home electrotherapy device prescribed around the world to effectively treat chronic, acute, and post-traumatic pain, as well as anxiety, insomnia, and depression. The treatment uses a physician-invented technology that addresses the fact that the body is a complex series of electrical impulses that control all physiological functions. Modulating these electrical impulses brings relief for most patients.

Alpha-Stim treatments amplify some neurological system activity and deactivate others in a fine-tuning process called neuromodulation. This unique and simple to use pain relief and depression treatment device can produce beneficial effects after even a single treatment. Evidence for the efficacy of neuromodulation abounds in fMRI, LORETA, and EEG mechanistic studies and clinical double-blind, randomly-controlled medical, psychological, and dentistry studies.

We offer treatments and rentals using both types of devices:

  • The Alpha-Stim AID Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulator for anxiety, insomnia, and depression
  • The Alpha-Stim M, Microcurrent & Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulator, which adds an additional frequency and delivery methods for managing and treating pain to the Alpha-Stim AID experience.

Please call the office or email Allison to learn more about this innovative and effective treatment modality and the costs involved.
